Booking terms and conditions

By making a booking, you agree that

• You have read these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them
• You consent to our use of your information in accordance with our privacy policy and
• You are over 18 years of age

1. Hidden House Pirttijärvi only handles bookings from persons over 18 years of age.
2. One-night stays can be booked both on weekdays and for weekends (Fri-Sun). The accommodation is for 1 – 2 persons. Sorry, we have no extra beds/cribs.
3. If you have any special requests (e.g. dietary requirements), please let us know at the time of booking. We will do everything we can to meet your requests but can’t guarantee they will be met.
4. We are a quiet site on private property, so we do not allow parties, stag or hen nights, or tents, camper vans or caravans. The site is for our glamping guests only.
5. We ask for no noise between 10 pm and 7 am.
6. No dogs or other pets allowed. Sorry, we cannot make exceptions to this rule.
7. In the event of high winds or other weather conditions we consider are dangerous to our guests, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday at short notice. Alternative dates or alternative accommodation will be offered, or a refund of your payment.
8. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times on our site.
9. We take great care to keep you safe at all times, but accidents can happen – Hidden House Pirttijärvi will accept no responsibility for any personal injury sustained on our premises. You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance for all members of your party in the event of an accident and your holiday being cut short. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs.
10. Hidden House Pirttijärvi will accept no responsibility for visitors’ property.
11. There is an abundance of wildlife on the farm and in the forests surrounding your tent. Enjoy it but be careful. Do no approach nesting birds. Please respect the wildlife around you. Do not leave food out, and do not leave rubbish outside the tent.
12. You can book your stay by sending us the enquiry form on our check availability page or by contacting us directly by e-mail. We will contact you and send you further instructions by e-mail.
13. No booking fees or down payments are required. You can pay by cash or card when you check in. We accept all major credit/debit cards. Free cancellation  by 3 pm one day before the start of your intended stay. In the event of a no show or  in the case of premature termination of your stay, the entire booking amount is payable.
14. What’s included
    • use of the glamping tent, sauna (once a day), free use of the showers
    • pillows, duvets, blankets, bedlinen and towels
    • free Wi-Fi
    • electric grill (summertime), firewood for campfire (wintertime)
    • complimentary tea/coffee – you can make proper coffee and tea!
    • cool box to store your food
    • mugs, plates, glasses and cutlery
    • breakfast hamper brought to your doorstep
    • private lake, beach, jetty and rowing boat
    • parking
15. What to bring
    • clothes and other personal belongings (check the weather forecast and/or contact the owner)
    • slippers
    • woolly socks might be a good idea for winter stays
    • food and drink
16. If you leave your tent in improper condition, the owner of the site is entitled to charge an extra fee of 100 euros of additional cleaning costs.
17. Check-in time is between 3 pm and 6 pm. Later arrivals by exception only.
18. You must vacate the tent by 12 on departure day.
19. Open fire or smoking is not permitted in the tent or in the immediate surroundings of the tent. Please use the firepits shown to you by the owner. Please never leave fires unattended. In dry weather open fires may not be permitted due to the increased risk of forest fires.
20. No firearms, hunting equipment or fireworks are permitted on the farm. Drones are not allowed to be used anywhere on the farm without permission from the owners. Such permission must be sought before arrival to Hidden House Pirttijärvi.
21. No rubbish to be left inside the tent, and no litter to be left anywhere else on site.
22. Guests are expected to behave with respect for the owners and the farm animals who live on the site, the staff and the environment at all times.
23. If any of the above terms and conditions are broken, guests will first be reminded of their responsibilities and if necessary will be requested to leave the site.
